Am I Seeing Things?

About four days ago, when things turned bitter cold here in Nashville, I was surveying my backyard to see how my feeder levels were doing.  Then, I saw it.  At the top of my back fence was a hen staring longingly at the corn cob I had put up for my squirrel friends.  At first I thought it must be some kind of grouse or fowl but I soon realized this was not the case.  I had a chicken in my backyard that I have no idea where it came from.  It appears healthy and it apparently goes somewhere after the corn dries up.  As we do not live in a rural area, finding the owner may be a bit of task.

It Was Never About The Money

Over two years ago, I set out to build a blog where I could share and swap birding stories and information with people who had similar interests.  I added a binoculars section to help pay the bills and to present products I thought my readers would be interested in.  Unfortunately, I didn’t know what I was doing and the site started to take on a look of a store rather than a blog.  I’ve learned a lot since I started the blog and I’m going to make some changes.  Here are some of them.
