After more than a year, I’ve finally published a short YouTube video that I think you’ll enjoy. It’s about my bluebirds coming back for the first time this morning to check out their old house. It started out as a male, female and at least one youngster and ended with one of the females deciding to do some serious house cleaning or something. It wasn’t until I screened the video that I saw I cut off the video before she ever exited the house. Pretty funny.
Here it is.
Learning New Tools
This was shot through my upstairs window on a Kodak 5.1 MP camera using video mode. The bluebirds snuck up on me so fast I didn’t even have time to tripod the thing before I was filming. All in all, I’m happy with the overall quality.
I used iMovie on my Mac to put it together and do the voiceover. I think I’ll be using a similar format for my future videos. The only thing I’ll change is I’ll probably upload the 640×480 size rather than 480x whatever this one is. I also won’t be waiting a year to get another one out. My plan is to try to post one per week. We’ll see how it goes.
Talk To Me
Tell me what you think of the video and what you’d change if you could. I’m not the video editor in the family but I am creative and plan on adding more “touches” to future videos.
